Dr. SC Parija Oration Award

This is a prestigious international award of the Indian Academy of Tropical Parasitology (IATP) given every year to eminent parasitologists aged 55 years and above from India and abroad in recognition of their contributions to the field of parasitology. The person must be of repute in the field of parasitology and should have contributed immensely to the subject over a considerable period as evidenced by papers published in peer-reviewed journals, monographs/textbooks written on parasitological topics, etc. In addition, individuals from the industry segment who have contributed to the development of parasitology would also be considered for the award. The awardee will be given a certificate and a gold medal at the Annual Congress of the Indian Academy of Tropical Parasitology. The recipient will deliver an Oration during the Annual Congress. A full transcript of the Oration will be published in the forthcoming issue of ‘Tropical Parasitology’, the official journal of IATP.
