The Director-cum-Vice Chancellor, Prof B Vengamma, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences- Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women at Tirupati, formally released the book “Textbook of Parasitic Zoonoses” edited by Prof SC Parija and Prof Abhijit Chaudhury, and published by Springer. Prof Abhijit Chaudhury, the co-editor first outlined the salient features of the book, followed by a short introduction by Dr Bhavik Sawhney, Senior Editor, Biomedicine, Springer. Prof SC Parija, Editor, described the genesis of the book and how the idea was conceived. This was then followed by the actual book release by Prof Vengamma followed by her note of congratulations to the editors and the contributors. The editor and co-editor presented her with a signed copy of the book.
